Board of Directors

The Model Forest of Newfoundland & Labrador is governed by a Board of Directors that directs the actions of our Management Group. Members consist of senior managers from within federal, provincial and municipal government, industry and academia. The board provides a legal basis for the MFNL organization, carries out an annual audit, approves annual work plans and past annual reports, and accepts advice from the Scientific Advisory Committee. The board chairperson and MFNL general manager sit on the National Strategic Operations Committee (NSOC) and provide linkages between the MFNL and the NSOC. The board provides recommendations and direction to the MFNL Management Group and general manager.
